| verŝajne la plej evidenta "problemo" de lingvo, kiu ekzistas nuntempe usone rilatas al la hispana. dum la pasintaj jaroj, dum ĉiam pli da hispanidoj venas en usonon el meksikio sen scii la anglan, la afero inter la hispana k la angla ŝajnas pliiĝi (pligrandiĝi) plu. ĉu devas hispanidoj lerni la anglan se ili volas loĝi usone? ĉu malpravas deklari la anglan esti la oficia lingvo de ŝtato aŭ la tuta usono? kaj eĉ pli polemika: kiel povas hispanidoj tiom facile loĝi ĉi tie (usone) sen iam lerni la anglan? tia afero devus ne esti ebla, ĉu? kiel tia afero okazis? estas multe pli pri ĉi-temo, kiun mi volus diri sed ne povas diri ĉar mi pensas ke mi ne povas juste trakti ilin esperante... :( sed la streĉeco/malfacileco de la afero estas io, kiun multaj homoj devas kunlukti ĉiutage. iu kiel mi, ekzemple, kiu laboras ĉe vendejo, kiu havas multe da klientoj ĉiutage kiuj parolas neniom da la angla, devas ofte iel trovi rimedojn interkompreniĝi. ...kaj iomete tiuj rimedoj ne bone sukcesas. kaj iomete tio rezultigas embarasojn por la kiento(j) kaj la vendulo(j). ...kiel la fojo kliento vendis ion, kiu surhavas alarmilumon (alarm/sensor tag?). mi provis forigi la alarmilumon, sed ili (la familio) ne komprenis kion mi faris kaj ili estis haste, tiel ili prenis la aĵon kaj foriris antaŭ mi povus forigi la alarmilumon. ili ne komprenis, ke ili ne povas eĉ uzi ilian venditaĵon se la alarmilumo ne estas forigita. mi sentis aĉegan, sed ili ne eĉ provis kompreni min kaj ne estis hispana parolanto ĉeestanta. :[ bonvolu ne miskompreni min. mi scias, ke ne ĉiuj hispanidoj ne provas kompreni la anglan kaj iom da hispanidoj ja provas lerni la anglan. kaj ja estas boneta rigardi infanon traduki (kaj iomete mistraduki) tion, kiun vi diras hispanen por iliaj gepatroj, sed iomete estas ankaŭ trista rigardi. ĉiuokaze, mi dirus plu, sed mi timas diri ion ofensivan pro ne scii kiel diri ĉion ĝuste esperante. mi nur volas diri ke estas granda lingva problemo usone, kiu influas la ĉiutagajn vivojn de multaj homoj. ĝi estas problemo, kiun usono ne vere scias kiel solvi. ....estas aliaj aferoj de lingvo, kiujn mi povus priparoli (ĉefe la pli persona temo de "Ebonics/Black English" (la lingvo parolata de multaj afrikanaj-usonanoj)), sed mi ne komplikigos plu la aferon kun parolo de tio. *suspiras* ...se nur mia esperanto estis pli bona. |
the most obvious language "problem" that exists right now in the us probably concerns spanish. over the past years, as more and more hispanics come to the us from mexico without knowing english, the issue between spanish and english language seems to grow and grow. must hispanics learn english if they want to live in the us? is it wrong to declare english as being the official language of a state or of the entire us? and even more controversial: how can hispanics live so easily here (in the us) without learning english at all? should such a thing even be possible? how did such a thing happen? there's a lot more about this subject that i would like to say but can't say because i dont think i can do them justice in esperanto... :( but the tension/difficulty of the matter is something that many people have to deal with daily. someone like me, for example, who works in a store that has many customers who do not speak any english daily, often has to somehow find means to communicate. ...and sometimes those means do not work. and sometimes that results in difficulties for the customer(s) and the seller(s). ...like the time a customer brought something that had a sensor tag on it. i tried to remove the sensor tag, but they (the family) didn't understand what i was doing and were in a hurry, so they took the thing and left before i could remove the sensor tag. they didn't understand that they can't even use the thing they'd bought if the sensor tag isn't removed. i felt like crap, but they didn't even try to understand me and there wasn't a spanish speaker around at the time. :[ please dont misunderstand me. i know that not all hispanics dont try to understand english and some hispanics really do try to learn english. and it is cute to see a kid try to translate (and sometimes mistranslate) what you say into spanish for their parents, but sometimes it's also sad to see. anyway, i would say more, but i'm afraid of saying something offensive since i don't know how to say everything correctly in esperanto. i only wish to say that there is a big language problem in the us which affects the everyday lives of many people. its a problem which the us doesn't really know how to solve. ....there are other language things that i could talk about (especially the more personal matter of "Ebonics/Black English" (the language spoken by many african americans), but i wont further complicate the matter with talk of that. *sighs* ...if only my esperanto were better. | |
